Shame for that nice interior.
Instead, America will have to make due with a 5 seat version of the Atlas.
VW also confirmed that it won’t sell the T-Roc crossover in America, either.
This poses a question. Are VW executives fucking idiots? The segment is still booming and they are “smartly rationalizing” their SUVs?
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

Wow that’s dumb. That T-roc thing looks kinda cool too.

It’s like VW almost wants to fail in the US

Selling just the T-Roc here would be like printing money for VW. Bad decision.

I guess they think the Atlas is for budget concious buyers. The Q7 and Cayenne a fill the niche for up-market buyers.
Personally I would buy a 1 year old Cayenne S over a new Touareg.

Pretty dumb but maybe they aren’t selling the T-roc here because it looks like a Ford edge

It’s like the interior designers at VW decided every dash surface needed to be either a screen or a vent.

Not selling the Touareg makes sense, those never really caught on in the U.S. because they’re smaller than what most Americans want yet lack the fancy badge to make up for it—not having the T-ROC, though, is just stupidity.

Of course not, why would you want to bring more crossover models to a market that’s totally obsessed with anything that even resembles a crossover?

The Toureg and T-Roc are too premium for the US market. We get the Atlas and that Chinese built compact CUV.

It slots below the Tiguan though.
